Central Coast claims double the investment per capita in development than the larger market in the Los Angeles region. Over the past year, private investors created $200 million for new companies. The area promotes business growth despite the appeal some might feel towards Hollywood and Silicone Valley. As such, it is one of the best regions in US to start a business in the science, tech or medical field. Some of the successful companies located here include Inogen, Raytheon, Sonos, and BioIQ.
